Iranian Kurdish journalist, activists released on bail

The Iranian authorities have recently released a Kurdish journalist and several activists on bail, although others have remained in prison and the fate of some of them is a mystery.

The editor-in-chief of the Kurdish weekly Dangi Kurdistan (Voice of Kurdistan) was released two days after his arrest.

He was interrogated for his comments on social media outlets and articles published in the weekly.

But a Kurdish reporter of the Mukrian news agency arrested late September has been transferred from Saqiz’s detention centre for interrogation to Saqiz prison.

Meanwhile, some activists who were detained for having participated in demonstrations that called for an end to the killing of Kolbar workers have also been released on bail over the past few days, according to KHRN sources.
