The Iranian security and intelligence forces are pursuing the civil activists and protesters in the Kurdish cities of Iran as the intelligence forces have intensified measures to crackdown the protests hit the country since 16 November against skyrocketing petrol prices.
A civil activist, who has been summoned and interrogated by the Sanandaj Intelligence Service over the past few days, told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) that he had received threatening phone calls and been summoned from the Sanandaj Intelligence Service and the Intelligence Unit of Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). The security forces also raided on the home of labour activist Ghaleb Hosseini and sealed it while forcing the labour activist and his family members to leave the city until further notice.
“Dozens of detained protesters from the cities of Saqqez and Marivan have also been transferred to the detention facilities of the security agencies in Sanandaj and are still under interrogation,” the source said.
The findings of KHRN indicate that more than 100 protesters are currently held at the Central Detention Office of the Intelligence Service and Shahramfar Detention centre affiliated with the IRGC. Dozens of other citizens detained during protests on 16 and 17 November in Sanandaj are also being held at the Detention Center of the Security Police.
