Two labor activists who were arrested by security forces on the International Worker’s Day are still being held in the Sanandaj Intelligence Detention Centre.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network KHRN  has been informed that on may 01 (the International Worker’s Day) Yadi Samadi, the Secretary to the Sanandaj Bakery Sendicate, was arrested by security forces at his home and subsequently transferred to the Intelligence Ministry’s Detention Center in Sanandaj.

Amir Shahabi, chairman of the Sanandaj Bakery Syndicate, was also arrested by the security forces on the same day and transferred to the Detention Centre.

According to reports, while the Sanandaj City Prosecutor has issued a one-month temporary detention order for Yadi Samadi, the situation of Amir Shahabi is still unclear.

It should be noted that Osman Ismaili, a labour activist who had been arrested on International Worker’s day gathering a few days ago and transferred to a central prison in Saqqez City, was released on bail on Monday, May 07, 2018.
