Kurdish Human Rights Network (KHRN): Kaveh Babamoradi– environmental activist- and Zanyar Zamiran– former deputy of the Kurdistan branch of the National Unity Party- were released on bail.

According to KHRN, Zanyar Zamiran- who was transferred to Sanandaj Central Prison after two and a half months of interrogation at the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Sanandaj- was temporarily released on a bail of 500 million Toman on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 until his trial. He had been arrested on January 6, 2019.

Kaveh Babamaradi, a Kurdish environmental activist who was arrested by security forces in Sanandaj on June 20, 2018, was released from the Sanandaj Central Prison on March 20, after nine months of detention.

It is noteworthy that 20 Kurdish Environmental activists and members of the Kurdish Branch of National Unity Party have been detained in Kamyaran, Marivan, and Sanandaj by the security forces during the past several months. Some of these detainees have been released on bail during the past months but some others are still held in detention. Sahar Kazemi is held at the Sanandaj Central Prison, Idris Mohammadi and Awat Karami are held at the detention center of IRGC Intelligence Bureau while Hossein Kamangar, Farhad Mohammadi, Farzad Hosseini ,Homayoun Bahmani, Rashed Montazeri, Isa Feizi, Sirwan Ghorbani, Hadi Kamangar and Jalal Rostami are held at the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Sanandaj.
