Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN): Khaled Zamani and Mehdi Ghobadi, two civilians from Kamyaran, have been arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location during the past 2 days.

A source in the Kamyaran has told KHRN that “security forces have raided the houses of a number of Kurdish civilians and arrested at least three of them last night.”

According to this source, two of these detained civilians have been identified as Mehdi Ghobadi and Khaled Zamani. There is no information on the place where they are being held and the institution which has arrested them.

Moreover, At the same time, the new Director General of the Kurdistan Provincial Intelligence Bureau told reporters on Wednesday, Apr 17, 2019 that some environmental activists and members of the Kurdistan branch of the National Unity Party had been arrested in an attempt to “prevent the terrorist acts under the name of the parties of the province”. This comment has raised increasing concern among families of recent detainees in Sanandaj and Kamyaran.
