Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN): Two environmental conservationists, Reza Asadi and Fazel Qeitasi, were released on bail after 47 days of detention.

The two Kurdish activists were arrested by security forces on January 31, 2019 following the arrest of activists in Kamyaran and Members of the Kurdistan branch of the National Unity Party.

Reza Asadi and Fazel Qeitasi spent their entire detention at the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Sanandaj in solitary confinement until they were transferred to Kamyaran Prison. According to a reliable source, they were temporarily released on a bail of 300-million-Toman each.

Despite the release of the above-mentioned two activists, nine other Kurdish activists including Hadi Kamangar, Farhad Mohammadi, Rashed Montazeri, Hossein Kamangar, Isa Feizi, Amanj Ghorbani, Sirwan Ghorbani, Zanyar Zemiran and Bakhtiar Kamangar are still held in solitary confinement at the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Sanandaj in relation to this case. These detainees were denied visitation rights and they were only allowed a few short phone calls to their families.
