Three Kurdish activists who had been detained during Bukan protest rally against the Turkish army’s invasion of northern and eastern Syria on 15 Octoberwere released on bail in recent days, a source Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN)

Activists Jaka Ismailpour, Simko Maroufi and Homan Faizi were released on bail, and another Kurdish activist, Shaho Khezri, who was arrested along with the other three activists, is still being questioned at the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Orumiyeh.

Jaka Ismailpour, Simko Maroufi and Homan Faizi were transferred to Bukan Prison on 28 October after the completion of interrogation process.

According to statistics compiled by the KHRN, 47 Kurdish citizens have been detained for participation in a protest rally against the Turkish army’s attack on northern and eastern Syria (Rojava), two of which have been sentenced to prison.
