Three Kurdish Border Porters –known as Kolbar- were wounded after being shot by the Iranian border guards in the border areas of Piranshahr city of West Azerbaijan province.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that on Thursday, May 28, 2020, Iranian border guards opened fire on a group of Kolbars in the border area of Piranshahr, injuring three kolbars known as Kamal Gohari, Kamil Gohari and Rasoul Chaplak. The three kolbars have been taken to a hospital in the town of Chuman in the Kurdistan Region for treatment.

According to statistics compiled by KHRN, five Kolbars and businessmen have been killed and nine others injured in the past week after being shot by the Iranian and Turkish border guards in the border areas of West Azerbaijan province.
