The fate of Three Kurdish citizens arrested during the recent Iran protests in Orumieh is uncertain. These prisoners are held at various parts of Orumiyeh Central Prison. A Kurdish poet from Ilam has also been released from the prison on custody.

According to reports received by Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), despite a month and a half after recent protests, three of the detainees called Ibrahim Mohammadpour, Matin Khalidi and Amin Zende Del all held in ward 13 of the Orumiyeh Central Prison are still in temporary arrest.

Ibrahim Mohammadpour from Sardasht is a student at Orumiyeh University and he was arrested on December 14 during the protests in Orumiyeh. He was interrogated for two days the Intelligence Detention Centre of this city before being transferred to the Orumiyeh Central Prison.

ed on bail from Ilam Prison after 15 days of arrest on January 29, 2018.This Kurdish poet was arrested on Saturday, Dec 16, 2017, by security forces who referred to his home with an ambulance and took him to the court where judge Parandi notified him of his charges. He was thn transferred to Ilam Central Prison.

The Kurdish poet has been charged with propaganda against the regime and incitement of people to participate in protests, writing anti-Islamic poems and insulting the Supreme Leadership. He is unable to walk due to being involved in an accident several years ago. He was held in the quarantine of the prison for several days.

During protests in Orumiyeh, Sanandaj, Kermanshah and Ilam, a number of protesters were arrested but the reports indicate that the majority of these detainees were released later on bail.
