The hearing on charges against three labours activists from Sanandaj, who were arrested following the International Labour Day and subsequently released on bail, will be held in Sanandaj on August 04.

An informed source told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) that during the past few days, three activists called Yadi Samadi, Amir (Jamil Shahabi) and Armin Sharife have been summoned by the Penal Court and Sanandaj Revolutionary Court to be prosecuted for two charges of “propaganda against the state” and “disturbing public opinion”.

“According to this summons, the trial of this activists will be held at Sanandaj Penal Court (Branch 109) and Islamic Revolutionary Court (Branch 1) on August 04, on charges of “propaganda against the state” and “disturbing public opinion” respectively.”, the source added.

It is worth noting that, on the International Labour Day (May 01), two labourers from Sanandaj called Hay Yadi Samadi and Amir Shahabi, members of the Sanandaj Bakery Workers Syndicate, were arrested by Security Forces. Moreover, Armin Sharife, another labour activist, was arrested on May 08 by security forces in Sanandaj.

The above-mentioned people were transferred to the Sanandaj Central Prison after the interrogations were completed but they were released on bail of twenty million tomans from prison on May 15.
