According to reports received from reliable sources in Marivan, riots have broken out at the Bashmaq border crossing in Marivan, Kurdistan province, and several dervishes were wounded as a result of shooting by border guards.

Today, July 09,2020, about 2,000 Darwishes of Tariqat Ghaderi went to the Bashmak border crossing to attend the funeral of Sheikh Mohammad Kasanzani, the leader of the Qadiri Sufi leader Kasnazani in the city of Sulaimaniyah at the Kurdistan Region. However, the border guards prevented them from leaving the country, which led to unrest and conflict in the border crossing.According to eyewitnesses, while a number of these Darwishes were trying to cross the border, they were shot at by border guards and at least three Darwishes were wounded.

The injured Darwishes, whose identities have not been released, were reportedly taken to Marivan Hospital in Kurdistan Province and Panjwin in Kurdistan Region. One of the casualties is reported to be in critical condition.More than a thousand Darwishes entered the territory of the Kurdistan Region after crossing the Bashmaq border crossing but they were besieged by the security forces of this region.

Sheikh Mohammad Kasanzani, leader of the Qaderi Kasanjani sect living in the city of Sulaimaniyah in the Kurdistan Region, died in the United States on July 5, and his funeral is scheduled for tomorrow in the city of Sulaimaniyah.
