A civil activist and a citizen from Sanandaj called Shahram Farhadi and Mohammad Naeempour were sentenced to 4 and 2 years in prison respectively by the Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj (branh 1) on charges of membership in obstinate groups and propaganda against the regime.

e sentenced to four and two years in prison respectively per Article 499 of Islamic Penal Code by Revolutionary Court (branch 1) by Judge Saeedi. ”, an informed source told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

“Shahram Farhadi (a member of Environmental Protection Associations) was arrested by the security forces on November 16, 2017 when engaged in collecting popular assistance for the Kermanshah earthquake victims. He was released on

bail after being held about two months at the Sanandaj Intelligent Detention Centre.” , the source said.

According to this source, Mohammad Naeempour was arrested by security forces in Sanandaj on December 4 and he was taken to the detention centre of this city. He was first transferred to the Sanandaj Central Prison but he was then taken to a hospital for treatment due to suffering from heart problem before being released on a bail of 150 million Toman.
