On July 3, security forces arrested a Kurdish civilian named Omid Mostafapoor in Naqadeh, Weste Azerbayejan province, and transferred him to an unknown location.

Security forces also searched his family home and confiscated a number of his personal belongings, a reliable source told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

Security forces did not give any reason for the arrest.

According to statistics compiled by KHRN, at least 13 Kurdish activists and civilians have been detained by security forces in Sanandaj, Mahabad, Marivan and Islamabad Gharb since late June. Only one of these detainees known as”Kavan Kasraei” was released on bail, but no information is available over the fate of the other 12 detainees.
