Kurdish female activist Hajar Saeedi was transferred to the Women’s ward of Sanandaj Prison known as Correctional Center after 9 days of interrogation. The female activist has been deprived of the right to make phone calls and meet with her family since her arrest. She was detained by security forces in Sanandaj on June 7, 2020.

Hajar Saeedi was summoned and interrogated on the eve of International Workers’ Day in May this year. Also, she was arrested in September 2016 along with a number of other Sanandaj activists for holding a memorial service for Sharif Bajur and other environmental activists who died in a fire in one of the forests of Marivan, on charges of “disrupting public order.”
