The security forces in Sanandad city has tightened security measures and widely spread riot police and special guards on all the streets leading to the Azadi square to prevent a possible rally against the Turkish Army incursion into the north and east of Syria, known as Rojava, local sources told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

The sourced added that tight security measures have been taken in the streets of Safari (Abidar), Vakil, Ferdowsi, Gendarmerie, Hassanabad and 6 Bahman since 11 October to prevent” a possible rally in protest to the Turkish Army incursion in to the Rojava territories.

On 10 October morning, a group of Kurdish lawyers gathered in front of the Bar Association of Kurdistan Province in Sanandaj and condemned the attack who described the Turkish Army’s attack on North and East Syria as “a blatant violation of international law.”
