On Saturday, June 02, two protest rallies were held at the University of Medical Sciences in Orumiyeh and Kermanshah. Moreover, Sardasht Poultry Farmers/workers gathered in front of the city’s governorate to express their protests.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that Personnel of Kermanshah Medical Sciences Health Care have held a gathering in protest to salary reduction, timely payment of salaries, unsecured working hours and job insecurity in front of building No. 1 at the university and requested their guild demands.

Moreover, health network staff from various cities of West Azerbaijan province gathered in front of the administrative building of Orumiyeh Healthcare Network  in protest to non-payment of salaries and benefits.

The protesters have said that the healthcare contractor’s company had not paid one-third of the salary of employees every month for uncertain reasons, and so far no relevant authority has investigated the problems of the corporate staff of the healthcare network.

Sardasht Poultry Farmers/workers gathered in front of the city’s governorate and called on government regulators to increase consumer prices for poultry in line with the rising business costs.

The guilds union protests in Iran has been expanding over the past few months while truckers and taxi drivers have also gone on strike in several different cities in an attempt to improve their livelihood.
