A prisoner was executed in Tabriz Central Prison on Tuesday morning, July 30, 2019.
Kurdish Human Rights Network (KHRN) has obtained information that “Samad Mahmoudzadeh” from Tabriz, who was arrested about 23 months ago for the murder of his brother-in-law, was executed at Tabriz Central Prison on Tuesday morning.
KHRN has also reported the execution of four other prisoners accused of murder in the prison on July 23 and 24.

Prisoners Fakhraddin Mangournezhad and Abbas Dadvar were executed on 7 March in Mahabad Prison, West Azerbaijan Province, on charges of "premeditated murder". Mangournezhad, from Oshnavieh, West Azerbaijan Province, and Dadvar, from Mahabad, were arrested about four years ago for the "premeditated murder" of two brothers in Sardasht, West Azerbaijan Province.
Prisoner Saeid Rezaei, previously sentenced to death for "premeditated murder", was today transferred to solitary confinement in Orumiyeh Central Prison, West Azerbaijan Province, for the imminent execution of his sentence.
