The Iranian intelligence offices have summoned more than 100 activists in the cities of Javanrud, Ravansar, Kermanshah, Kamyaran, Marivan, Saqqez and Sanandaj, local soruces told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

As per the sources, the activists, some of whom are former Kurdish political prisoners, were summoned by telephone and interrogated mainly in connection with recent protests in Iran. The security investigators have threatened these activists not to report on the protests and the detainees under any circumstances.

Some of these individuals have also received written warnings not to report and participate in possible protests in the future.
