One Kurdish Border Porter –known as Kolbar- was killed and two others were wounded after being shot by the Iranian border guards in the Somay Bradust border area of Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan province.

According to the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), on May 24, 2020, a group of Kolbars from the village of Koran in the Somay Bradust area of the Orumiyeh border region were directly shot by the border guards of Iran. As a result of the shooting, a Kolbar named Arsalan Ahmadi was killed while two brothers called Turan Ahmadi and Radwan Ahmadi were wounded.

According to statistics compiled by KHRN, three Kolbars and businessmen have been killed and six others injured in the past five days after being shot by the Iranian and Turkish border guards in the border areas of West Azerbaijan province.
