Despite more than ten days since the arrest of two female civil activists in Ilam and Sanandaj, no information has been received about their fate and whereabouts.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that Ilam Intelligence Forces raided the home of activist, Negisa Shahbazi on Monday, Aug 6, 2018 and arrested her while searching her home. She was then transferred to the Intelligence Ministry’s Detention Centre in the city of Ilam.

On Thursday, Aug 9, 2018, an activist called Sahar Kazemi from Sanandaj was also arrested by security forces at her home and transferred her to the Intelligence Ministry’s Detention Centre in the city of Sanandaj.

There is still no news about the fate of these activists despite the follow-up of their families from court and the Ilam and Sanandaj Intelligence Office.
