“After being hospitalized in the prison’s clinic for an hour, the head of the clinic discharged this political prisoner and he was transferred back to the ward despite the recommendations of the clinic’s physician. After that, Mohammad Nazari referred to the prison officer and complained about the behaviour of the clinic’s director. The prison officer (known as Hossein Mollazadeh) asked what his crime was and, upon hearing that Mohammad Nazari was a political prisoner, he slapped him twice and drove him out of the office disrespectfully.”, the source said.

“Unfortunately, the brutal behaviour of prison guards with political prisoners has become a common thing and political prisoners are often being beaten by guards at any time without any reason just because of the political nature of their offence.”, the source continued.

“On Thursday, Mohammad Nazari, along with a political prisoner from ward 12, complained about the behaviour of the guards to the Internal Director of the prison but MehrAli Farhang,(head of wards 1-2 and 3-4), told them that they would be in trouble if they insist on their complaint. “, the source added.
