A passenger vehicle exploded after colliding with an anti-tank mine left over from the Iran-Iraq war. This incident happened in the public area of Mehran on Monday, December 4 and left three people dead.
According to Kurdistan Human Rights Network, the three victims were members of a family identified as:
Roghaie Tarai, 50 years old
Shah Zainab Taraj, 55 years old
And the son of Shah Zainab called Ali Askar Malik Ebadi, 30 years old
The mine blast occurred in an area where the Iranian Revolutionary Guards had marked as a safe zone cleared of mines.
