Three members of Nojin Socio-cultural Association- Zahara Mohammadi, Menat Rahmani and Sirwan Ebrahimi- have not been released yet and they are still under interrogation.

An informed source has told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) that Zahra Mohammadi was under pressure to make forced confessions and attend a TV interview. This civil activist was arrested in Sanandaj on May 25, 2019 by security forces. She is now being held at the general ward of Sanandaj Correctional Centre but she is transferred to the Ministry of Intelligence’s Detention Centre at this city for interrogations.

“Two other members of this association, who were arrested in Kamyaran on June 25, 2019 and are being interrogated at the Ministry of Intelligence’s Detention Centre in Sanandaj, are still deprived of phone contact and visitation rights.”, the above-mentioned source stated regarding the latest status of Menat Rahmani and Sirwan Ebrahim.

Nojin Socio-cultural Association is a civil institution established under an official license granted by the Interior Ministry. This association has been holding Kurdish Language Courses at various Kurdish cities during the past several years. It is noteworthy that this institution has played an important role in provision of relief services to the earthquake-stricken people in Lorestan during the past several months.
