Zeynab Ismaili, a member of the “Kurdish Peace Mothers”, was released from the Sanandaj Correctional Centre on bail on March 26, a source told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

She was arrested on February 27 by security forces at her home in Dehgolan and taken to the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Sanandaj. This member of the Kurdish Peace Mothers was deprived of visits and access to her medications.

Zeynab Ismaili, the mother of Mohammed Amiri, is a member of the People’s Protection Units and her organizational name is “Hawre Leylax”. Mohammed Amiri was killed in 2014 while defending the People’s Protection Units from the city of Kobani against the attack carried out by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria group(ISIL).

“Kurdish Peace Mothers” Group was founded by the mothers of a number of Kurdish political prisoners and Kurdish executed citizens. These mothers have declared their goal to help bring about peace and justice in Kurdistan.

In recent years, the security agencies have been putting increasing pressures on the Kurdistan citizens by repeatedly summoning members of Kurdish Peace Mothers, especially in the cities of Sanandaj, Marivan and Dehgolan.
