Two people were wounded in Sar-e-Pol-Zahab due to the mine blast.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that, on Saturday, April 22, a mine exploded after a shovel hit a mine while labourers were working in the village of Bishkan in Sar-e-Pol-Zahab and two people were wounded as a result.

The mine blast are happening despite the fact that this area was declared “free from landmines” in 2012 and the government even held a celebration ceremony on the occasion.

Earlier on Apr 8 this year, a soldier lost his life due to mine blast in one of the army barracks in Qasr-e Shirin city of Kermanshah province.
