A Kurdish Yarsan civil society rights activist was transferred to Dizelabad Prison from the Intelligence unit of Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC), a source told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

Khalil Asadi Bojani was arrested on 20 November at his family home in Jafarabad, Kermanshah.

“During a phone call with his family on 27 December, Bojani informed them about the end of his interrogation and transfer to prison, however, he is still kept in temporary custody,” added the source.

The IRGC has arrested more than 10 civil and cultural activists in Kermanshah during recent weeks. On 22 December, six of these activists were released on bail but Babak Dabirian, Khalil Asadi Bojani, Sohbat Omidi, Mohyeddin Asghari and Homayoun Abbasi remain in custody.
