A Kurdish civilian from Marivan and a vet graduated from Orumiyeh University was killed by security forces during a mass protest in Kermanshah.
Borhan Mansournia was in Kermanshah on his military service after obtaining his degree.
“On 16 November, Borhan Mansournia was shot in the back. The bullet came out from his stomach and he was seriously injured for which he underwent surgery and lost his life due to his critical injury. Another two other civilians Abdulreza Shirzadi and a person whose identity is unclear were also shot dead,” a source told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).
Borhan Mansourina was transferred to the ambulance which had attended the scene after an emergency call, the source said. However, a bullet struck his waist and exited his abdomen, leading to the rupture of his bowel and he went under surgery.
Mansournia woke up on 17 November when he asked his relatives to take him to his hometown of Marivan. On 18 November evening, he suddenly went into a coma and never woke up.
Eyewitnesses believe that he lost his life due to lack of medical care and severe bleeding although the hospital officials charged his family five million Tomans for the operation.
Kermanshah Forensics has reportedly handed over the body of Burhan Mansournia to his family nine hours after his death who was eventually buried in Marivan Cemetery.
His family is currently under pressure from security agencies who have threatened them that revealing the story of his death will result in serious consequence for them.
