Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN): The political prisoner “Esmat (Mohammad) Salahshour“, detained at the Orumiyeh Central Prison, was transferred to the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) intelligence unit for the second time in the past two months. Meanwhile, “Kamal Hassan Ramadan”, a death row Kurdish political prisoner, was transferred to the Detention Centre of the IRGC for unknown reasons yesterday.

KHRN has been informed that this political prisoner had been transferred to the Detention Centre of IRGC from Orumiyeh Central Prison today for unknown reasons.
He was transferred from the central prison of Orumiyeh to the IRGC detention centre on Apr 20, 2019 and was taken back to the Orumiyeh Central Prison after 15 days of interrogation.

Esmat (Mohammad) Salahshour from the Falkan village of Orumiyeh was arrested by security forces earlier in March 2017 and transferred to Orumiyeh Central Prison after a month of interrogations. He was then sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment by branch 2 of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Orumiyeh on the charge of cooperating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties. This verdict was approved by Branch 13 of the Court of Appeal in February last year.
