Three Labour activists from Saqqez were summoned by the Intelligence Unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) on October 13 for participation in a rally against the Turkish Army’s incursion into the north and east of Syria, known as Rojava.
The three labour activists Seyed Ali Hosseini, Mahmoud Salehi, and Osman Ismaili were summoned by the Intelligence Unit of IRGC, and the security forces had already interrogated Seyed Ali Hosseini.
Osman Ismaili was summoned for sharing a post on his Facebook account confirming that he had referred to the Department of Public Safety where he was questioned about his participation in a protest rally against the Turkish Army’s invasion of Rojava.
In recent days, demonstrations have been held in several Kurdish cities in Iran, including Khoy, Orumiyeh, Mahabad, Piranshahr, Sardasht, Bukan, Saqqez, Baneh, Marivan, Sanandaj, Dehgolan, Divandareh, Kermanshah, Javanrood, Paveh, Ravansar, Ilam and Ivan to condemn the Turkish military’s invasion of Rojava.
