Three detained Kurdish civilians Kamran Qasemi, Omid Saeedi and Kayhan Rashidi have been sentenced to five years in prison each by Branch 2 of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Orumiyeh presided over by Judge Ali Sheikhlo on charges of “membership of one of the Kurdish opposition parties”., reliable sources told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

Kamran Qasemi, Omid Saeedi and Kayhan Rashidi were arrested by security forces about four months ago and then transferred to the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Orumiyeh.

After a few weeks of interrogation, the civilians were transferred to the youth ward of the Orumiyeh Central Prison.
