Kurdish civilian Dler Nasri was released on bail from Sanandaj Central Prison on October 8, 2019 and Azad Salehian was transferred to Saqqez Prison on October 6 to serve his prison sentence, a source told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN)

Nasri was arrested on August 24, 2019 by the Intelligence Unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and taken to Sanandaj Prison five days after the interrogation process completed.

Meanwhile, the intelligence services arrested Azad Salehian, a Kurdish civilian from Saqqez, in July 2018 and was released on bail until the end of his proceedings.

Salehian was sentenced to two years of imprisonment by the Saqqez Revolutionary Court in January 2019 on charges of “propaganda against the state” and “insulting the leadership.” The verdict was dropped after he appealed to the Sanandaj Court of Appeal and eventually reduced to 17 months in prison.
