Kurdish civilian Shahram Mostafapour from the village of Moana in the city of Orumiyeh has lost his life due to suffering from severe gunshot injuries by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

“On Thursday, May 28, 2020, Shahram Mostafapour’s vehicle was ambushed and targeted by IRGC on the Silvana border road in Orumiyeh.” An informed source in Orumiyeh told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

The IRGC forces initially transferred Mostafapour to the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center but due to his severe bleeding but he was later taken to Arefian Hospital affiliated with the IRGC.

“After a few days of hospitalisation, during which his family was not allowed to visit him, Mostafapour lost his life due to the severity of his injuries in hospital on Saturday, June 6, 2020.”, the source added.

So far, the IRGC has not announced the reason for targeting this Kurdish civilian’s vehicle.
