A Kurdish civil activist ‘Shahram Kazemian‘ has been sentenced to five years in prison by Branch 2 of the Orumiyeh Revolutionary Court, presided by Judge Ali Sheikhlo, on charges of “membership in a Kurdish Opposition Party’, an informed source told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

His trial was held on March 2, and the sentence was officially served on him at Orumieh Central Prison this morning, source said.

Shahram Kazemian from Orumiyeh was arrested by the Orumiyeh Intelligence Service on January 6, and then transferred to the Orumiyeh Central Prison on February 1, at the end of the interrogation process.
