Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that four Kurdish activists Jaka Ismailpour, Simko Maroufi, Shaho Khezri and Homan Faizi- were taken to Bukan prison on Wednesday, January 29 to serve their imprisonment sentences.

Jaka Ismailpour, Simko Maroufi and Homan Faizi were previously sentenced to 3 months, 4 months, 1 year and 2 years in prison respectively by Branch 101 of the Bukan Criminal Court for “disturbing public order through illegal assembly”.

The afore-mentioned four activists were detained during Boukan protest rally against the Turkish army’s invasion of northern and eastern Syria on October 15, 2019, but they were released on bail a few weeks later.
