Two Kurdish border porters –known as Kolbar-  have been injured at the Ghotour border areas (Kutul) of Khoy as a result of being shot by Turkey’s military forces on January 26 and transferred by a Van to a hospital in Turkey, sources told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

Informed sources in Ghotour have told KHRN that both Hussain Hadizadeh, 29, and Ali Hadizadeh, 22, were cousins from Giuran village.

Earlier on August 23, Turkish forces opened fire at a number of Kolbars in Ghotour border, where a Kolbar Noor Ali Abdullahi from the village of Giuran was seriously injured.

According to statistics compiled by KHRN, five Kurdish Kolbars were killed and ten others were injured in a shooting in January this year. Moreover, three other Kolbars have been injured due to falling from altitudes.
