A Kurdish civil activist has been released from Dizel Abad Prison of Kermanshah after one month and 9 days in jail on a one billion toman bail, a reliable source told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

“Babak Dabirian has been held in the quarantine ward of Dizel Abad Prison in Kermanshah for the past 9 days,” the source added.

According to the source, Babak Dabirian has lost a lot of weight under torture at the Intelligence Unit of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) during his detention.

Babak Dabirian was detained by the Intelligence Unit of IRGC in Kermanshah on December 24. After taking him to the detention facility, several forces affiliated with IRGC went to his family’s home and confiscated some of his personal belongings.

He was transferred to Dizel Abad Prison in Kermanshah on January 21 from the Revolutionary Guards Detention Center.
