Iranian Disciplinary Force (NAJA) opened fire on a van carrying imported clothing while chasing it in the gas pump area of Paweh. During this incident, several residential buildings were damaged and Citizens who protested to such irrational shooting were beaten up.

“On Sunday, Oct 29, 2017 at 20:00, Iranian Disciplinary Forces chased and opened fire on a vehicle carrying imported clothing in Paweh despite knowing what the cargo of the van was. The chase led to traffic jam, several car accidents and the protest of citizens. NAJA forces beat up the citizens who protested to the situation,” a source told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

“A number of protesters whose houses were shot and the guards had beaten them up referred to the Paweh Prosecutor’s Office and called for Justice. But Muslim Almasi, the new prosecutor of Paweh, not only defended the actions of NAJA guards but also threatened protesters with arrest and transfer to the Dizel Abad prison in Kermanshah.”, the source added.

Several ordinary citizens have been targeted and killed by security forces on the pretext of fighting smuggling of goods over the past years.
