Iranian security forces have detained three more Kurdish civilians in the Iranian Kurdish cities of Saqqez, Oshnavieh (Shno in Kurdish) and Sanandaj over the past few days.

Meanwhile, officers of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have questioned a number of Kurdish civilians and civil society activists in several Kurdish cities.

Iranian security forces in Saqqez arrested Kurdish civilian Sediq Rahman Zadeh and one of his sons, Osman, before taking them to an unknown detention centre after they had searched their home.

Another Kurdish civilian, Mohammad Amin Kanaani, from the village of Takhteh in the Sanandaj area, was arrested on 16 October after he was asked over a phone call conversation to go to the headquarters of the Sanandaj Intelligence Bureau, from where he was taken to the Intelligence Ministry’s detention facility in the city of Sanandaj.

Several Iranian Kurdish civil society activists have also been summoned and interrogated in Marivan, Sanandaj, Kamyaran and Saqqez in addition to the ongoing detention of the civilians.
