A Yasuj-based political activist is “still” being questioned at the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Shiraz known as the No.1 Detention Center,”  a source told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

Mohammad Davari, a 25 years old student of Political Science at Yasuj University, was arrested by security forces in Fars province on October 1.

“Davari’s family had no information about their son for a week as he was arrested on his way home. Davari finally informed his family of his arrest on October 6 during a short phone call,” the source added.

Security forces raided on Davari’s family’s home on October 7 and seized some of his personal belongings, including his books and manuscripts.

He also had no further contacts or visits with his family after his first phone call and no information is available on the charges against him.

IRGC had earlier prosecuted him for such activities whi was later sentenced to five months in prison on charges of “propaganda against the state” and “acting against national security by disturbing public opinion”.
