Four prisoners were executed at Orumiyeh’s central prison due to drug related charges on Saturday morning July 8, 2017. They were taken from ward 15 of Orumiyeh central prison to solitary confinement cells a day before their execution.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has obtained the names of the prisoners who are from Orumiyeh and its subsidiary villages:

Mir-Haj Abdi, imprisoned for 5 years and charged with carrying one kg of narcotics (no drug type specified)
Soufi Kolounakzadeh, imprisoned for 3 years and charged with carrying 7 kg of heroin
Khalil Mousa Kousi, imprisoned for 5 years and charged with 20 kg of morphine
Kheiroldin Mashmoul, imprisoned for 4 years and charged with carrying one kg of heroin
