In recent days, security forces have continued to arrest citizens and civil activists protesting to the Killing of Kurdish Kolbars in various cities of Kurdistan.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network has been informed that during the past few days, security forces have identified a number of participants in the protests to the killing of two Kolbars in Baneh several days ago and detained them while raiding their houses and beating them.

“More than 30 people arrested in recent days, and the families of the detainees are not aware of their fate,” local sources told KHRN.

The security forces raided Rahmani Zerei’s house in Shahrak Laleh on Thursday, September 07, 2017 and arrested his son known as Iraj Zarei while beating his mother who was trying to prevent her 23-year-old son from being arrested.

Following Iraj Zarei’s arrest and his mother being beaten by the security forces, other members of the family confronted plainclothes agents who were wearing a mask and broke their window of the vehicle belonging to the security forces.

Moreover, after the release of the call for civil activists in Mahabad for a protest rally to killings of Kurdish Kolbars., yesterday Iranian plainclothes agents of IRGC attacked a number of civil activists and citizens of Mahabad attempting to stage a demonstration and arrested them.

KHRN has confirmed the identity of two of the detainees as Kobra Khalandi and Gelawej Bignia.

Early Monday morning, Iranian disciplinary forces killed Ghader Bahrami, 41, father of four, and Heydar Faraji, a 22- year old single man. The two men were reportedly not carrying goods and they were simply crossing borders. After carrying the dead bodies of the two men to the hospital, angry protestors stormed into the city hall while breaking the entrance and demanding justice for the victims. In response, armed guards have been positioned across the city centre and in front of governmental buildings. In addition, many citizens of Baneh, Sanandaj, Kermanshah and Baneh were arrested during the demonstrations.
