According to reports received by Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), Masoud Shamsnejad, the Human Rights Lawyer who had been arrested on January 08, has been temporarily released on bail of one billion Toman.

The lawyer was sentenced to 6 years and 4 months in prison by the Branch 3 of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Orumiyeh on charges of propaganda against the state and membership in the Kurdish political party of PJAK on February 10. The verdict was referred to the Orumiyeh Court of Appeal.

Masoud Shamsnejad was arrested at Orumiyeh Court by security agents when referring to the court to pursue a lawsuit of his client on Tuesday, January 08. He was taken to the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Orumiyeh and interrogated for 10 days before being transferred to Ward of Prisoners of Ordinary Offences at Orumiyeh Central Prison on January 17.
