Over the past 30 days, at least 32 civilians and activists were arrested by security forces affiliated with the Intelligence Bureau and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in various cities of Kurdistan.

According to data released by Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), recent arrests have taken place in the cities of Kamyaran, Sanandaj, Marivan, Saqqez, Takab, Shahindezh, Ashnouyah, Mahabad and Maku. “All the three of detainees, who had returned to Orumiyeh upon coordination of their families with security agencies, were detained again by the Intelligence Bureau last month. They are interrogated at the Detention centres during the days and they are transferred to Orumiyeh Central Prison at nights. “, the above source said about three young female detainees on charge of membership in one of the Kurdish opposition parties.
