During the past week, four Kurdish civilians have been detained by security forces in the cities of Paveh, Marivan and Oshnavieh (Shno in Kurdish) without an arrest warrant.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has obtained information that security forces have arrested a Kurdish student “Karo Kawe” while farming in the village of Ney in Marivan and another civilian “Sina Jast” from the village of Ney who resides Marivan on Tuesday Aug 27, 2019 and transferred them to an unknown location.

Meanwhile, the intelligence forces of Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) arrested another Kurdish student, Mohammad Eqbal of Nalas, in Oshnavieh and transferred him to an unknown location. He is a student of Information Technology at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.

Following the arrests of Kurdish civilians, Soran Azizi, from the Zardoui village of Paveh, was arrested by security forces on Aug 24, 2019 and transferred to the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre Known as “Naft Square” in Kermanshah.

The security forces have announced that these people have been arrested on the charge of “collaboration with one of the Kurdish opposition parties.”

Last week, KHRN released a special report on the detention and interrogation of more than 40 Kurdish activists and civilians at the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Sanandaj.
