Revolutionary Court of Orumiyeh (Branch 2) reinstated the sever sentence issued for seven Kurdish citizens from Oshnavieh on the charge of “assisting the armed action of members of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI) of Iran by providing shelter, food and supplies for them in addition to acting as main members of PDKI and the propaganda activity in favour of that party. This sentence, 100 years and two days imprisonment in total and execution for one of the Kurdish citizens, had been previously dismissed by the Supreme Court.

“On Wednesday, January 14, 2018, the Revolutionary Court of Orumiyeh (Branch 2) officially announced the issuance of the verdicts for these seven Kurdish citizens to their lawyers. According to the verdict Hedayat Abdollahpour was sentenced to death while Rasoul Azizi, Mohammad Zahir Faramarzi, Jalal Masrori, Yaghoob Bakeram, Sediq Bakram and Kamal Masrovi were sentenced to 25 years, 20 years, 20 years, 15 years and one day, 10 years and10 years plus one day in prison respectively.”, a source told to Kurdish Human Rights Network (KHRN).

According to the source, the hearing of these people was held with the presence of a lawyer but “Judge Chabok”, the head of the branch of the Revolutionary Court of Orumiyeh, issued an order only based on the report produced by the Orumiyeh Intelligence Office.
