Erfan Rashidi, a prominent Environment Activist in Kermanshah Province, was released on bail.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that the environment and labor Activists called as Erfan Rashid was released temporarily on July 12 after 8 days of arrest at the Intelligence Ministry’s Detention Centre (known as the oil square) in the city of Kermanshah on a bail of 50 million Tomans.

At 1:30 PM on July 05, security forces raided the house of “Erfan Rashidi” (a members of the Environment Association of “Zhiva” in Paveh) without a judicial order and confiscated a number of his personal belongings while arresting and transferring him to Intelligence Ministry’s Detention Centre in the city of Kermanshah.

Over the past few years, Mr Rashidi has played an important role in controlling the fires at Horaman forest along with other environmental activists. Following the earthquake in Kermanshah, this activist helped the earthquake victims in camps at Sar Pul Zahab and the suburbs for several months.
