Tawfiq Sarafraz, director of the Sanandaj Cemetery Organization (Known as Aramestan) who has been in police custody for about three weeks, suffered a cardiac attack at the detention centre.
Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that he was taken to Tohid Hospital in Sanandaj after a heart attack and he is currently in the intensive care unit (ICU).
Tawfiq Sarafraz, who was a member of Hassan Rouhani’s campaign in Sanandaj, was arrested about three weeks ago along with several other civilians by security forces affiliated with the law enforcement agency for his alledged links with a telegram channel.
