In the past days, following the strike and protest in various cities of Iran, six students have been arrested in Orumiyeh and Kermanshah while another student in Saqez has been summoned and questioned by the Intelligence Service.

According to the information obtained by Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), on Friday, Dec 29, 2017, anti-riot forces and plainclothes forces arrested three students of Razi University of Kermanshah including Nabi Tardast (Master student in Sociology), Vahid Mazhari and Omid Jamshidi in Basij crossroad.

“Omid Jamshidi and Nabi Tardast are currently detained in Ward 10 of Dizel Abad prison in Kermanshah, but there is no information about the fate of Vahid Mazhari,” an informed source told KHRN.

Furthermore, another student known as Loghman Visi (an accounting student of the Razi University in Kermanshah from Salas Babajani) was arrested on January 01. He was temporarily rel

In continuation of these pressures, Dara Mostofi, a journalist and student of the University of Rasht, has been summoned interrogated for several hours by the Intelligence centre of Saqez for publishing critical articles on Kurdistan issues in Facebook.

Also, according to reports received from Orumiyeh, two students from Orumiyeh University called Siwan Kalami (from Sanandaj) and Mohammad Javad Amirsadeghi (from Maragheh) have been arrested by the anti-riot forces and transfer

It is worth noting that on Jan 2, 2018, a Kurdish student called Mohammad Javaheri (an anthropology student at the University of Tehran) was arrested for several hours while visiting his family in Sardasht.

Unfortunately, due to the pressure and threats of the families as well as slowing down the Internet speed in Iran, there is no accurate information available about the number of injured and detained citizens.
