A Kurdish border porter –known as Kolbar- lost his life at the border area of Hange Jal in Baneh when the Iranian Border Guards opened fire at a group of Kolbars in the morning of 13 November, a source told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN)

According to eyewitnesses, Taher Hosseini from the village of Sadbar in Baneh was shot from a close range “even though he did not carry any foreign goods.” He died after three hours of hospitalization at Baneh Hospital due to serious injuries.

The victim was 34-year-old and father of a young child.

On 14 November the KHRN released another report about three other Kolbars, Hassan Heidari, Soleiman Abtin and Sirwan Saadatnia who were shot injured at the Khoy and Piranshahr border over the past two days.
