They have also been severely under pressure for making TV confessions. These civilians were arrested by security forces earlier between January 01 and 06.

An informed source, who wished to remain anonymous for security reasons, has told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) that “according to the Interrogation Office of Kamyaran and Sanandaj the arrest warrants of 10 civil and political activists have been extended for another month. During a brief call to their family, these detainees have informed them that they were still under interrogations in unknown locations. The efforts of families and a number of Kurdish lawyers to find out about the fate and charges brought against these individuals remains inconclusive”.

KHRN has also been informed by a former detained civilian, held at the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Sanandaj for some time, that all the ten detainees held at the Intelligence Detention Centre in Sanandaj were under pressure to make TV confessions. He further added that the new Director General of the Office of Intelligence is also involved in the process of confession and pressure against these people.

According to reports, Nahid Kamangar (wife of Rashid Montazeri), Nasrin Naghdi (wife of Hossein Kamangar) and Zara Yousefi (wife of Fadhil Qaytazi) have been summoned by the Kamyaran Intelligence Office and interrogated for several hours during the past few days.
